Introduction to Colors

Subtractive color mixing – Usage

Subtractive color mixing occurs when we mix paints, dyes, or pigments. Most printers use 4 colors; magenta, cyan (aqua), yellow and black. The three primary colors of subtractive color mixing are used the create the desired color and black is used to add contrast to the printed images.
