Introduction to Colors

Primary and secondary colors

In nature, there are about 18 decillion varieties of colors. That’s an 18 followed by 33 zeros.

18,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

However, the human eye is only capable of distinguishing about 10 million of them.

All those colors are only a particular mix of the primary colors: green, blue, red

These three special colors are called primary colors. Mixing equal parts of the primary colors results in secondary colors: yellow, magenta (fuchsia), cyan (aqua)
